Ubhar is the eldest and most respected of the dwarves. His many years of experience have given him great wisdom, even as they have robbed him of his strength and dulled his sight. Ubhar's wisdom is sought on many matters great and small - although he insists that of all the lessons he’s learned, the greatest of them is his strawberry jam recipe.

Patience is a virtue, as he is quick to remind everyone, and as such he will tolerate almost anything, from long circular conversations with Danti to Small Will charging around the tavern. However, even Ubhar has his limits; he will not tolerate Lauf the Loud, or as he calls him, "the hack with the horn". His main complaint is that Lauf’s offerings are not "real music", a vague and uncertain definition that he refuses to expand upon.
