Dwarves have a predisposition towards living simple lives, favouring the perfection of a single craft for decades at a time. Den the Daring bucks this trend and has embraced both his passions of chemistry and vintnering.

He runs the Gayden vineyard with his wife, Gayle Jewel Smith, by day and retreats to his lab to test both the boundaries of science and his reflexes by night. Den has learned, after many years, that the lengthy beards favoured by other dwarves are a fire hazard in his line of work.
